I like to paint the "sense" of a place rather than the details and draw inspiration from the fields, rivers, lakes & rocks of the Canadian prairies. I gather bits of earth from places I connect with, and incorporate these textural organic materials into my pigments and paint. My art is an act of appreciation for the land and the places that make me feel at home.
