Collection: cyanotype prints

Cyanotype is a historic photographic process that uses iron salts and sunlight to create vivid blue prints.

My cyanotypes are a contemporary take on this tradition. Using prairie photos or botanicals, I layer treated paper and expose it to the prairie sun, then refine each piece into soft shades of indigo, cream, sage, and earth.

Each print is a reproduction of my original cyanotype—perfectly imperfect with natural textures and gentle areas of blur. To celebrate these variations, every print is hand-finished with a touch of genuine gold leaf, inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of honouring imperfections by mending them with gold.
